Kora Shigar

Kora Shigar (summoned 1 Myphoen 1000) is an independent roboticist, Elseword-Traveller, Mercenary, and Councilman of the Council of Dreamers best known for his work as the last Citrine Knight of Robasa and Spy for the Tenebris Insurrectionist group during the Tenebris Coup in the final years of the Kingdom of Matan. He is, reportedly, the only surviving knight of Robasa of the 1000-summoned group.

Biography

Shigar was born to Kian Shigar and Beryl Whizer in his homeworld, Faerûn, in the city of Neverwinter along the Sword Coast. Following his father’s death he reportedly left Neverwinter on a decades long journey, he reports that the death he would have succumbed to if not summoned to Metrianda was freezing to death in a particularly harsh winter in the Hordelands of northeastern Faerûn.

Shigar was summoned as the 3rd Citrine Hero of Robasa alongside the heroes Lovumin Dore, Olive Pearl, Ebere Kiablo, Imomo, Mary Edwards, Odette Thomas, Lolita Batista, Florian Tarragon, Velvet, Rupert Willoughby, and Olivier Vance. In 1320 he was the executor of the Matan Royal Court alongside the then young Prince Yevie Tenebris Purpumtum, who executed the Royal Family himself before usurping the kingdom and establishing the fascist government of the Council of Dragons, where he reigned as lead Councilman until his daughter, Bravophae Tenebris Purpumtum took over- who lead until the Council of Dragons was felled in 9419 by the insurrectionist groups of The Moon and The Sun.

Soon after the deaths of the Matans and their courts, Shigar took up the persona of Kai, a masked guard often seen by the side of the Councilman Tenebris. Reportedly, under the pseudonym Kai, Shigar had assassinated 74 individuals for the Council of Dragons, and had been responsible for executing the first Metallic Council of Dragons. His bloody career took a sudden turn towards the more protective nature when councilman Yevie’s daughter, Bravophae, in 4000. He was promptly positioned to be her personal guard until adulthood, wherein he served under this title for 510 years until Bravophae took over for Yevie as the lead Councilwoman of the Council of Chromatic Dragons and Shigar returned to his contract killer and personal guard for Yevie.

In 9419 Shigar was the personal guardsman for Yevie within The Old Capital for the pre-Mayessal Election dinner. He was present for the events of T.O.C. 's bloody series of assassinations and deaths, though reportedly did not kill anyone present. He was seen leaving T.O.C. with the T.O.C. hero Lahh'mbrrt, the Nevergreen children Cerulian and Aqua Nevergreen, and Ilit Corriander- a 19 year old at the time Parole Clown who later corroborated the events to national news publications. She states that had they not been evacuated then she “would have died, man. Me and those teen goblins with me”.

Since the fall of the Council of Dragons, Shigar has continued his career as a mercenary and contract killer for hire, taking occasional jobs as a port caller and shipment master. Recently he has been in Robasa, helping transport civilians between Robasa and the relative safety of the undisputed neutral territory that is Metrianda’s twin moons as well as serving as a Hero Transporter- moving heroes of The Republic to and from the Frontlines and their bases. It has been also reported that Shigar has assisted in dropping artillery and paratrooping soldiers onto Sun Fortresses in previous Republican territory.

Personality, Personal Life and Public Image

Those who have interacted with Shigar outside of his work have noted that he is rather personable and greatly enjoys wordplay. He’s a great proponent of the arts and education, supporting the Agoran School of Art and Painting during his time as Bravophae’s guardsman.

Shigar flies a self-made airship that greatly resembles the STARFLY-CLASS model of airship created by the Robasan Knight Noom Luna. While he has declined to answer most questions directed towards his aircraft, he states that the ship was made from scrap parts he found on Estla towards the end of the 1000th millenia. He continues to fly the ship, though has stated “it’s kinda in a theseus sorta situation- if I know my legends right. I don’t know how many time’s I’ve repaired her but she’s been a rather constant companion of mine, and I don’t really want to let go of her just yet”.

Shigar’s motivations are mostly unknown, though he states his end goal is to find his deceased father. According to popular legend his father’s life is used as a manipulation tactic to keep him employed by the Tenebri. He has repeatedly declined to comment on this.

Shigar has been seen in the company of Robasan Hero Laucian Vance on multiple occasions. His relationship with the hero is mostly unknown, though confidants of the two say they have a “close friendship”.

In his personal time, Shigar often races as an Elseworldian Circuit racer in the Metrianda team where he is allegedly the only member outside of Knight of Robasa Madeline Merrit. Due to legal and technological constraints his win ratio is unknown, as are most of the details of his racing career.
