Elaine Rua

Elaine Rua (born 1 Eelanrua 930) is the 13th Master of Hours in Metrianda. She was trained by the Midnight Hour, Alphonse Parry.

Education

Rua studied at the Metrianda School of Wizardry from 940 to 962 where she earned a fellows standing in Chronomancy and Abjuration.

She was taken into the Clock of Hours following her approval as an apprentice of the Midnight hour, Alphonse Parry, who also sponsored her education at the MSW.

Biography

Rua was born in the hamlet OldLily at the center of the LakeSea in central Underglass in 960. According to her testimony, she was sent off to MSW boarding school and University when she was 10. After the death of her parents shortly after her arrival she was adopted by the Professor of Chronomancy, Alphonse Parry, who subsequently continued to sponsor her study and boarding at MSW until her graduation.

Rue continued to train under his care until his death in late Eelanrua of 9419 during the insurrectionist raid on The Old Capital. She took up his practice and title, maintaining his tower in Lake Ergoth in southern Ivyway.

Career and Relationships

Rua is the only remaining Master of Hours on the Clock of Hours, as well as the only remaining member of the Clock of hours outside of a series of unnamed apprentices. According to popular Underglassian legend, the Masters of Hours, The Minutes, and The Apprentice Seconds have been being assassinated by unknown assailants since 6206, Parry was the last to pass, though his death was ruled as a suicide by witnesses.
