Oxi Gyn

Oxi Gyn was the 7th and final mayor of The Underglass city- The Old Capital. He is the professor emeritus of Escherin History at the University of DarkReach and has written extensively on the subject.

Biography

According to Underglass Legend and Gyn’s own campaign, Gyn was reportedly summoned to The Old Capital prior to the arrival of the Matan Founder Family in 1400 PM, wherein he was one of, allegedly, 32 other summoned ‘Knights’ at the time. While he has not elaborated further on this subject, his claims are not unsubstantiated. The two other known Pre-Matan era survivors have since corroborated his story.

Following the formation of The Kingdom of Matan by the prodigal founder prince Meter Matan and his wife Ladella Matan, Oxi Gyn began an extensive career in academics- helping found several currently operating Universities in The Underglass. After the felling of the Kingdom of Matan he became a professor of Escherin History at the University of Darkreach. His speciality made him a target for Council ire, eventually leading to his retirement from academia. Shortly thereafter he started his run for Mayor of The Old Capital, running his campaign off his connection to the people of Escherin and lobbying for better treatment for the people of The Underglass.

On Eelanrua 42, 9419, Gyn and the Mayessal Candidate Abigail Daisy were shot dead in The Old Capital’s banquet hall during a pre-vote day dinner. Other guests at the dinner included the heroes of Robasa Kian Shigar and Maldreth Matriad, the Chromatic Councilwoman Bravophae Tenebris, the retired Chromatic Councilman Yevie Tenebris, the Metallic Councilmembers Truth, Mercy, Justice, Grace, Unity, Hope, Victory, and Honor, Valor’s representative and son Genesis of Lordsong, T.O.C.’s head of security Tiitus Arrtur, Oxi Gyn’s assistant Margarita ‘Marcy’ Nadler and her sister Reginald Nadler, and the Heroes of The Old Capital- Daffodillia, UR54 M4J0R, Lahh'mbrrt, Ru-Ru, Warren Hopper, Tansy, Guinevere, October Finth, and Chika Sumiye. His apparition appeared several days later, alongside Daisy’s, at the central debate on Upper Eaile/Perch on the day of the Mayessal Election, where it was dissipated by the attack on Perch by the Voidships The Sun and The Moon.

Despite his untimely death, Gyn has been a consistent member of Underglass political meetings- often being the only member to show up. He has since returned to teaching his regular class at the University of Darkreach, despite low class sizes and the total abandonment of the campus 523 years prior.
