Finnigan Leagallow

Finnigan Leagallow, the Mayor of Robasa (for 500 years!) and the old Vicess candidate for Kian Shigar’s Mayessal election prior to the fall of the Council of Dragons. Finnigan Leagallow is a kindly old man, well respected and adored by his constituents and peers alike, and predominant founder of the Republic. He’s credited with saving Kian Shigar during the attack on The Perch alongside several other attendees, his actions following are also directly credited with the creation of The Republic and the survival of the millions of remaining citizens of Metrianda following the Overglass genocide during The Great Reset. While the old man claims to have been summoned- an action that would render him conditionally immortal- many note that comparing pictures of him during Kian’s run for Mayess to pictures of him now show clear signs of age, from deepened wrinkles to now starkly white hair. When asked, Finnigan states it’s a result of stress and magic- neither claim has been substantiated and no one seems to care enough to look into it. He is well loved by his city, civilians, heroes, and friends. He is an avid defender of The Moon and supporter for peace- often acting as the only voice against using nuclear arms against The Sun.

Finnigan has done a lot for Robasa during his time there, while never interested in returning the city to its “glory days” as the Capital of Metrianda (at least as much as his only political opponent for Mayor, Alexander Damnhethin, is) he has always been a huge proponent of modernizing and repairing the city. During his time in office he has dismantled many old Council of Dragon buildings, rebuilt the old covered aerial walkways that the city used to have during the Matan Kingdom’s days, and started adding modern amenities like wider streets, electric lamps, solar panels, permanent bike lane partitions, and electric street signs to the old city. His only major controversy, outside of his outspoken support for The Moon amidst the 500 years war, is his locking up of the lower levels of Robasa and Robasa’s tower as a whole save for the central lobby at street level. All other cities offer almost full access to their towers and levels, and while Finnigan claims that the rest of Robasa’s tower is dangerous, many believe the old man and his city just lack the resources needed to provide security and safety upgrades to the dilapidated stone tower and monster-infested levels. In recent years, despite Robasa having been reduced from the shining star of Metrianda to the often forgotten old historical hamlet on the outskirts of The Republic, the city and its mayor have been at the forefront of news almost constantly. His current heroes of Robasa have become some of the most well respected and most effective heroes in all of Metrianda in the short time they have been summoned, Robasa is now housing all refugees from the central cities making it the effective capital of Metrianda, and has been the site of many major political moves and meetings in the past few months. Currently it is heavily defended and in a constant combat onslaught following the embarrassment of Queen Pareidolia Di’or during the recent Olympics at the hands of Underglassian hero Mimi Hanazawa and her subsequent dismissal from the event by host Sunday Gracious after Di’or attacked Underglassian hero Abner Soaghat.
