Agora

Agora is the 12th city in The Republic. It’s the Lapis city, representing The Mender, and was built in year 6 by The Matans. Agora features a large focus on nature- clashing with its neighbor’s gothic and traditional city aesthetics. Countless waterfalls, plant covered architecture, and a variety of waterways and canals practically flood the city streets- leading to a reliance on water-vehicles rather than traditional air or land sorts. Unlike other cities there is no defined number of levels, as the city is mostly organically shaped and defies rational physics consistently. Bits and pieces of original Matan architecture are sandwiched between the newer organic Draconic and Republican additions- giving the city a very obvious line between its older districts and newer.

Agora lacks a traditional city weapon, contrasting Robasa’s massive laser, and instead boasts an impenetrable forcefield that is currently the only thing protecting it from The Sun- which was up until very recently pressing directly into The Forcefield for months on end as a means to try and crash through and fell the tower as it had to Whima and Zitaf. Agora is currently mayored by Airri Dahi-Shigar, a recent election to the position who has faced nepotism accusations due to her pre-Metrianda connections to The Republic’s Mayess, Kian Shigar, through her engagement to Kian’s daughter Gaiya- Quartermaster of The Moon. The two recently had a lovely wedding in The Underglass that served as a diplomatic retreat and means to gather allies for The Republic. In the previous Council of Dragons, Agora was headed by the blue dragon Nautilus, who, shortly before his death, had allied himself with the revolutionary forces working against The Council of Dragons he served. After his death and Agora’s joining into The Republic, Agora has exclusively summoned female heroes and had female mayors- leading to widespread accusations of misandry on the City God’s part- accusations that have not seemingly had a functional impact on The City and its methodology.
